we have been 'casually' potty training lulu for a while. the poty has been present for several months now and she would occasionally sport a pair of panties for a short bit at a time. we decided to step it up a notch this week and we rolled up our rugs and let her wear panties a little more often - before and after school/prior to bed time - and we 'ask her' if she needs to go more frequently. we started this routine on monday...and today is thursday. the first few evenings she wet multiple panties (luckily i bought lots of panties!) and had a couple of 'accidents'. tonight, she had none. she wore one pair of panties the entire time she was home from school and before she went to bed! but alas, this was not the 'real' achievement! while being put to bed she told her dad that she needed to poop, he asked if she wanted to use the potty, she said 'yes', and so she did. after a couple of high fives, two thumbs up and some yelling and screaming she kissed mommy good night and off she went.
by the way...do you know that she can both spell her name (verbally) AND wright it out!
and we didn't even teach her this!!! (although we have shown her multiple times...she practiced it on her own and impressed us - and her teachers- with her fancy skills!)
