the singer songwriter series - part 1

a big weekend in town....

the city of somerville ( and neighboring arlington) host a number of local events that revolve around kids. this weekend was both 'fairies in the garden' and 'what the fluff'* in somerville and 'town night' in alington........... check em' out!

(*somerville is home to 'fluff' which is spreadable marshmallow)

they also rode on a 'train' (a rail-less train -- a john deere tractor with a 'thomas the train' skin) and watched a firework show!

potty time!

lulu has been making tremendous progress with her potty training! she fell off the wagon briefly but is now back at it with full force! lulu can go days at a time without an accident! she wears diapers at night (and for car drives and long stroller walks). even so, she asks to use the potty and can keep a diaper dry for as long as we are out!! when she is all done potty training she would like a scooter. below, she and baby sit side by side on the potty. the big toilet has an insert mini toilet seat that pops down as needed. a clever invention.

whenever she is given permission, lulu embraces the opportunity to take photos with the camera.
every now and again she snaps a good one!

lulu had a blast at karen's baby shower. she played with all her friday play-group friends....

just like everyone else, lulu had to learn to navigate through the masses that make up nyc. in central park, lulu played in a water labyrinth....and learned to deal with the crowds.
